Meal prepping can be an excellent way to save time and money while eating healthier, but it’s not exactly easy. To do it right, you need to be organized—and willing to set aside some time on your precious weekends for the week ahead.
If you’ve been thinking about hopping on the meal-prepping bandwagon, but haven’t yet found the inspiration, I’d like to introduce you to a couple of invaluable resources. The first is the “Power Hour” series on the website Apartment Therapy. Put on by the team at The Kitchn (a food-focused website), this series of videos does a great job of taking you through the meal prepping process. For instance, in the site’s “Easy Keto Meal Prep” video, they show you how to prep a week’s worth of meals in two hours on a Sunday—by showing you, step-by-step (and minute-by-minute) how to do it.
A second inspirational resource is the “meal prep” Reddit thread. Here, a community of like-minded meal-preppers often showcase their pre-prepped lunches for the week. So if you’re sick of salad, and looking for something a little more enticing, chances are you’ll find it here!
What’s your favourite make-ahead dish? Where do you find your inspiration? Let me know – I’d love to hear!
